The POD service is aware of continuous problems with their present telephone service and the difficulty patients are experiencing getting through to them. The POD service has now set up a telephone number for patients to TEXT to inform the POD that they need to order their repeat medication. A call handler will call the patient back on the mobile number they have texted from. The patient should allow up to 48 hours (excluding weekends) to receive the call back but the POD will hopefully call back much quicker than this. Patients are being advised to call when they have 10 days left to allow for addtional turnaround time during the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients should ensure they have sufficient medication at home if they are using this service. THE TELEPHONE NUMBER TO SEND YOUR TEXT TO IS 07903 586972. The patient is required to text the word REPEAT and then a reference to the GP Practice Name. Patients registered at Woodside should text REPEAT WOODSIDE

The Doctors are offering a full telephone triage service at the surgery at present. This is to minimise the number of patients attending the surgery. Only patients who have spoken to the Doctor, and have been asked by the Doctor to attend the surgery will be allowed into our waiting area, providing that they DO NOT have a new continuous cough or a high temperature (>37.8). Certain nursing appointments have been suspended until further notice.
Please do not be offended if you have a pre-booked Nurse or Midwife appointment and are asked if you have any symptoms in relation to COVID-19 before being allowed into our waiting area.
