Cervical Screening Awareness Week 15th – 21st June 2020

Coronavirus has changed a lot of things.  Cervical Screening Awareness isn’t one of them.  If you are due cervical screening or have had a test cancelled, you might be wondering what is going on.  Last week we were informed that cervical screening will now resume.  At the practice we have put measures in place to enable the Practice Nurse to carry out your test safely.  5 million women are invited for cervical screening every year in the UK but over the last few months many tests have been postponed or invitations paused.  We also know that cervical screening isn’t always easy and coronavirus might have made it more complicated – On receipt of your screening invite letter, if you have any further questions, please telephone the surgery on 02476 694001 and book a telephone consultation with one of our Practcie Nurses who will be more than happy to speak to you about any concerns you may have.  Once you are happy to proceed, an appropriate appointment will be made for you.

Practice move to EMIS – New Clinical System

Woodside Medical Centre are moving to a new clinical system and we will have limited access to our old clinical system between the 23rd of June and the 30th of June 2020.  We will only be dealing with URGENT telephone consultations during this period.  If your repeat prescription is due between these dates please order IN ADVANCE either via the POD (Prescription Ordering Direct) or Online.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
