FAQs

Do you do telephone appointments?

Yes. There are a lot of advantages to seeing your GP for your medical problems as sometimes a “spot diagnosis” (just by looking at someone you can know what is wrong with them) is made that would be missed over the phone! However, sometimes follow up from a test or a bit of general advice can be dealt with easily over the phone. We have a number of telephone appointment slots each day. We also offer appointments in the Extended Hours Service which have 9 sites across the city

Are you taking on new patients? How do I register?

Yes, our list is currently open to new patients within the catchment area. Please see the menu list or click here for How to Register.

How do I make an appointment?

You can make a Telephone Triage appointment by coming into reception or by telephoning the surgery on 02476 694001. The Doctor will call you and discuss your requirements, at this stage arrangements will be made for you to nsee a Doctor if appropriate

How to Opt Out of Text Messaging and Emails sent from the Practice

Please complete an opt out form which is available from our main reception

Do you have a midwife at the practice?

We have a midwife who sees all our pregnant ladies for booking appointments and follow-up. If you are pregnant, you can book to see the midwife without seeing a GP unless you have any concerns or questions that your would like addressed first. To do this, please inform reception that it is your first appointment (the ‘booking’ appointment) which is for 1 hour. Ideally, the booking appointment should be just before 8 weeks (see here to interpret how far along your pregnancy is estimated to be).
