At Woodside, we are committed to making our information and services accessible to all.
If you have a disability that requires any additional assistance to achieve this, please do inform a member of staff.
We can provide information in large print or produce an audio version on request. We can also liaise with RNIB should braille be needed. The practice will record your visual impairment on your notes so that staff are alerted to collect you from the waiting area and escort you to the consultation if needed.
Reception has the Induction Loop system with the Loop sign clearly displayed. We can ensure that an interpreter is present if an appointment is booked in advance (usually 48hours notice is required). A double appointment should be booked. If you cannot book ahead for any reason, GPs and nurses will always happily see you and will use visual aids or write down information as necessary.
Information using pictures or more appropriate language can be provided if necessary.
Mobility or physical disabilities
There are disabled parking spaces available at the side of the building for patients use.
Guide dogs are welcome.
There are accessible toilets located in both waiting areas.
The entrance to the main building and Woodside Medical Centre is wheelchair-accessible, however, if you should experience any difficulties or you find a potential obstruction to this, please do inform us immediately.
